‘Joker 2’ Rumoured To Be A ‘Musical’ Starring Lady Gaga
Joker 2 is rumoured to be a ‘musical’
that will feature actress and singer Lady Gaga.
According to The Hollywood Reporter,
the 36-year-old is in talks to star opposite Joaquin Phoenix
in a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster hit. However, a deal with Warner Bros. has yet to be closed.
So far, her potential character details remain a secret,
but it’s believed she may play the role of Harley Quinn, who Joker is in an on-off relationship with.

If this particular rumour is true, Lady Gaga’s Quinn will exist in a different DC universe to Margot Robbie’s, who most recently appeared in 2021’s The Suicide Squad.
The character was created by Bruce Timm and Paul Dini in the 1990s for the cartoon Batman: The Animated Series.
In the show, Quinn was a psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum, where the Joker was a patient. She ended up falling in love with the supervillain.
After hearing of the rumours, fans of the Joker have taken to social media and shared their thoughts on Lady Gaga’s potential casting.
In response to the speculation, one said: “The Academy said no to an Oscar for Lady Gaga on A Star Is Born and then again on House of Gucci and now she’s done playing games and going for the sure thing: starring in a Joker movie.”
Another tweeted: “Dude if you don’t think Joker 2 being a musical with a Lady Gaga [as] Harley Quinn isn’t a wildly worthwhile swing, I don’t know how to help you.”
The first movie’s director, Todd Phillips, recently delighted fans of the franchise after taking to Instagram and revealing that a sequel is definitely in the works.
It currently has the title of Folie à Deux, which translates as Madness for Two.
